Ending family violence requires societal change through education and awareness

The Central Alberta Women’s Emergency Shelter is a strong advocate for educating the public on issues surrounding abuse. By equipping ourselves with knowledge, and understanding the causes, effects, symptoms and warning signs, we can work together to put an end to family violence.

The CAWES Learning Centre provides information on several topics, such as recognizing abuse, understanding why women stay in abusive relationships, seeking help from family and friends, root causes of violence and more. Please read through information that interests you, or pass it along to someone you know.
