This is an issue that touches everyone.

Everyone has mental health, just like everyone has physical health.

To be at our best, we need to take care of our mental health, just as we do our physical health.

There are significant benefits to having mentally healthy workplaces, where mental health is promoted and help and support is provided if a person is facing mental health issues or mental illness.

Almost every person in every workplace is touched in some way by mental health problems and illness.

Through the Not Myself Today workplace mental health initiative, led by Partners for Mental Health, CAWES aims to engage people to support mental health, and to help build greater understanding and empathy towards those facing the more serious issue of mental illness.

Vigil in the Park

December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women in Canada. Established in 1991 by the Parliament of Canada, this day marks the anniversary of the murders in 1989 of 14 young women at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal. They died because they were women.

Day of Remembrance

In Central Alberta, our friends at UFCW worked with CAWES to organize a vigil at City Hall Park, December 6 at 1:00pm. For more information on this special event :http://conta.cc/1lFfoAR.
